Most small businesses fail within their first 2 years. Why?

This is a statistic I keep hearing from all kinds of people.  Every single time I tell someone I have opened my own small business, I get the same reaction.  Well my business is over 2 years old so does that mean I am in the clear?  Does that mean I can start counting on my business to move forward?  Not really, but what it means is that my business may still fail but it won’t be another statistic.  I support other small business owners, this is my industry.  My passion is my family, my beautiful puppy girl Ksee, my ornery but loveable tom cat Shylow, and my two adorable sugar gliders Apple, and Jax, but I love what I do.  My industry is to help other small business owners, become successful.  I help them with the back office part of their business.  Most business owners I work with are grateful.  They are appreciative, because I do the things that most don’t want or like to do.  I love it.  It makes me feel good to know that I have helped another business beat the odds of the above statistic.  What other ways can you beat the odds, besides hiring the best Virtual Assistant North of Albany?  Hire a business coach, a great business coach will help you get through your own bullshit.  They will help you see your goals, and be the safety net you need while you try to reach those goals.

Another way to beat the odds, find your support system.  Along with your business coach, you should surround yourself with people who want you to succeed, and truly believe without a shadow of a doubt that you will succeed.  That you will find whatever it is you are looking for.  They won’t be afraid to tell everyone they know that they believe in you and what you are trying to accomplish.  They will help you in any way they can, and help you up when you fall.  Failing is part of owning a business, you are going to make some bad decisions.  It’s part of building your empire.  It goes with the territory so don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and then take notes.  Most importantly than anything trust yourself, listen to your gut, and believe in yourself.  It is very difficult to get people to believe in you when you don’t  really believe in yourself.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help, or guidance from those you trust.   Every morning tell yourself how proud you are that you even tried.  Remind yourself every single day that you got this, you can do this.  When you go to bed at night, you are the one who has to sleep with your decisions.  You are the one who has to live with your choices.  So make choices you are proud of.  Make choices that you can live with.  Then your business becomes unstoppable.
